Getting to know vermouth with Casa Padró

How often do you drink vermouth? If you live outside of Spain, it might not be such a typical drink you’d choose for an aperitif but here it is quite a tradition, so we used the opportunity to go and visit an incredible producer in Bràfim, about and hour from the center of Barcelona.

Porto with francesinhas and fortified wine

Porto is a beautiful city that you should visit at least once in your life. Picturesque buildings covered in azulejos and the intriguing history of the Vila Nova de Gaia, it truly is a beauty. I suggest you walk the city, it can get a bit challenging at times for its steep hills but it’s a good way to not miss the gym and to digest the francesinha (we’ll talk about this interesting gastronomic beast in a bit)!

Christmas in Riga, Latvia, is magical!

Christmas has always been a big deal for me and my family.

There are so many people who fuss about the Christmas holidays and family get-togethers, but is there really any other time you really sit down with others for dinner and spend time together? Time is such a precious thing, especially for those who live abroad and can’t see their loved ones every day or at any time you would really like to.
