Discovering wine producers in Catalonia – Caves Forns Raventós

Last week we went to visit Caves Forns Raventòs in a small town called Santa Fe del Penedés. While Marc’s own cava production is quite a recent activity, his family has been growing grapes since 1836.

Porto with francesinhas and fortified wine

Porto is a beautiful city that you should visit at least once in your life. Picturesque buildings covered in azulejos and the intriguing history of the Vila Nova de Gaia, it truly is a beauty. I suggest you walk the city, it can get a bit challenging at times for its steep hills but it’s a good way to not miss the gym and to digest the francesinha (we’ll talk about this interesting gastronomic beast in a bit)!

Christmas in Riga, Latvia, is magical!

Christmas has always been a big deal for me and my family.

There are so many people who fuss about the Christmas holidays and family get-togethers, but is there really any other time you really sit down with others for dinner and spend time together? Time is such a precious thing, especially for those who live abroad and can’t see their loved ones every day or at any time you would really like to.
